Ok so how on earth do we know if a book is Scripture or not?

There are a few things to consider and look for while you're reading. The more you read different books, the more you'll see, so start by just reading them. However I'd say read them with some serious scrutiny. Be aware of when your excitement and curiosity get ahead of you.

Don't get super excited about learning about Creation to the point that you make what you're reading sound like the truth just because you want more details or something.

WAYS TO TEST FOR AUTHENTICITY

• Start with the modern canon.

We test as much data as we can with what we already know from the modern 66 books, if it doesn't line up with what we're told about history and the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, then it get the read flag.

• Were the manuscripts found taken good care of and how many were found?

For example Enoch was found along side many other books of our modern canon and they were in multiple different languages. There were many copies too. From what I gather it found alongside thousand os manuscripts in the Dead Sea Scrolls. So this is promising and makes translating it easier and more accurate.

• Was written by a time-tested prophet?

There are many in the modern cannon and this would, of course, help add to the authenticity - although it's not limited to it.

• See that Historical Claims Are Accurate

Any clams about the king of that time or any dates offered up need to match with what we know from our current canon and from history.
