Apocalypse of Abraham

1 And I stood and saw him who had taken my right hand and set me on my feet. 11:2 The appearance of the griffin’s body was like sapphire, and the likeness of his face like chrysolite, and the hair of his head like snow, 11:3 and a turban on his head like the appearance of the bow in the clouds, and the closing of his garments [like] purple, and a golden staff [was] in his right hand. 11:4 And he said to me “Abraham!” and I said, “Here is your servant!” And he said,  “Let my appearance not frighten you, nor my speech trouble your soul! 11:5 Come with me and I shall go with you, visible until the sacrifice, but after the sacrifice invisible forever. 11:6 Be bold and go!”
